Art Commission ' s Yarn Heart Art on Albany Street Bridge
   ·         Arts Commission and several volunteers of all ages helped craft and install yarn hearts on the fence along the Albany St Bridge
   Memorial and Veteran ' s Day Parades
   ·         Department of Community Services again organized successful Memorial and Veteran ' s Day Parades
   Parkstock Concert Series
   ·         Department of Community Services secured funding and organized another year of Parkstock Outdoor Concerts at Donaldson Park
   Grocery Store Transportation Help
   ·         When our supermarket closed , the Department of Community Services stepped up and provided transportation and online food shopping assistance to help our residents get groceries
   Fireworks in the Park - Labor Day Weekend Kickoff
   ·         When bad forecasts forced the cancellation of our 4th of July Fireworks in the Park festival , we set up a phenomenal new fireworks festival with music , food trucks , and activities for kids to kick off Labor Day Weekend
   Mid - Autumn Moon Festival
   ·         With support from the Department of Community Services and Arts Commission , we hosted Highland Park ' s first Mid - Autumn Festival with music , food , and dance
   Historical Commission Presentation
   ·         The Historical Commission put on a presentation at Pino ' s covering the history of Highland Park with a focus on how the development of Rt . 27 , the Lincoln Highway , shaped our town .
   Halloween Costume Parade and Festival
   ·         The Department of Community Services hosted another sucessful Halloween Festival with a costume parade , food , bouncy house , and face painting
   Art Commission Sidewalk Decals
   ·         Arts Commission installed 14 sidewalk art decals scattered around the downtown and schools
   Guerilla Arts Club
   ·         Guerilla Arts Club had activites throughout the year including cat art projects , art at the Quear Candy Festival , and scarecrow decorating contest
   Recreation
   ·         The Department of Community Services put together another year of robust recreational programming including children and adult rec league sports , summer camp , and children ' s theater and dance classes
   Senior Programming
   ·         The Department of Community Services put together another year of robust programming for seniors including monthly luncheons , various trips , musical entertainment , exercise classes , and more
   Pickleball Courts
   ·         Thanks to our friends at Middlesex County , Highland Park is now home to several brand new pickleball courts .
