Summary:
Working in coordination with the Community Health Director, the CONSULTANT DIETITIAN responsibilities include providing nutrition consulting services for Women, Infant, Children (WIC) program, Children with Special Health Care Needs program, and other related community health programs.
The CONSULTANT DIETITIAN services will be performed with consideration to meeting the policies set forth by Northeast Tri County Health District (NETCHD) in providing adequate nutritional care and educational services in accordance with the federal and state rules and regulations, the facility policies, and prescribed physician plans. The consultations shall be done on a regular basis and in a timely fashion as negotiated by NETCHD.
The CONSULTANT DIETITIAN provides medically accurate, scientifically proven advice or guidance to NETCHD staff and the clients served.
Contracted Program Activities:
The following program activities and responsibilities may be covered under this contract:
Children with Special Health Care Needs
Women, Infant, Children Nutrition (WIC) Program
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelors or master’s degree in nutrition
Registered Dietitian credential
Professional license or certification to provide medical nutrition therapy in Washington State
Experience
1-2 years experience working in the WIC program preferred but not required.
Required Certifications and Licensure:
Current or eligible certification as Washington State Certified Dietitian.
Provide proof of their own professional liability insurance.
Valid Washington State driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
Current auto insurance.
