Responsibilities:
Assist in developing policies and systems to support the security, operations and availability of all applications and hardware at the Agency. Support network security for confidential records and provide support with security investigations. Perform computer programming and application design and development. Configure and maintain electronic document management system. Receive alerts and troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide solutions to hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain strict confidentiality when working with all records and systems. Serve as technical problem-solving resource in support of the Administrator and the goals of the department by providing procedural advice and answering questions from employees. Oversee the administration of the agency phone system and call center software database by programming, updating, and maintaining the subscriber database and mailboxes; security and password administration; adding and removing users and groups; configuring contact software; changing location of users; updating notices; providing support; and installing hardware when required. Complete hardware and cable installations as ordered. Identify capabilities and limitations of existing systems; support recommendations for the need of upgrades, configuration of new systems and applications and/or security issues to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, management information systems, information technology or related discipline, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in Microsoft Visual Basic with SQL databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual dBase, and/or PowerBasic, preferred. At least (1) year experience on PC hardware and desktop user support.
