On this day , the Franklin Police Department would like to recognize the City of Franklin school crossing guards for their invaluable service throughout the school year helping to ensure the safe passage for our students as they commute between home and school each and every school day .   We place top priority on school safety and recognize that school crossing guards play a critical role in supporting this mission .   Pictured above are two of the longest tenured crossing guards: Lisa Harris serving since 1995 and Annie Esmond serving since 2010 .   Thank you for all your hard work!!
