The City of Santa Paula is aware of the recent accusation made against the Chief of Police . In accordance with our normal course of action in such a situation , the City has engaged an independent investigator to conduct an extensive inquiry into this matter .  
   This investigation will remain separate from the ongoing investigation that began in March .  
   “To ensure both matters are thoroughly examined , these investigations are being conducted by two separate investigators , ” said Dan Singer , Santa Paula City Manager . “The City prioritizes the integrity of these processes , and we will take the appropriate actions as we uncover all the facts in this matter . ”
   While the City understands these circumstances are very concerning , we remain committed to maintaining a healthy work environment and serving the community and our residents .
