CITY ENGINEER
CITY OF HARTFORD, WISCONSIN
The City of Hartford, Wisconsin seeks a City Engineer to provide comprehensive civil engineering services for the City, including its water utility, wastewater utility, and storm water operation. The incumbent will perform managerial, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the City’s Engineering Department. This is a senior management position with significant administrative responsibilities, as well as oversight of the City’s ongoing construction projects, collaborative budget planning with other municipal departments and the development of a comprehensive long-term capital improvement program.
An ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive civil engineering experience along with the interpersonal skills necessary to excel in a collaborative team environment alongside fellow Department Heads, demonstrate the ability to address resident’s concerns with professionalism, and have experience fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment among employees.
The position requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program, a Wisconsin P.E. designation, and minimum of five years of civil engineering experience.
Salary will range from $93,000 - $103,000 DOQ. The City of Hartford offers a benefits plan second to no one in municipal government. Complete job description and application for employment are available on the City website:
