Sun Prairie WI, a growing community of 36,394, in the Madison metropolitan area and the second-most populous city in Dane County, is seeking a qualified City Attorney to function as a key member of the city’s executive leadership team.
Responsibilities include: general advice, contracts, ordinance development, real estate transactions, development agreements, and municipal court prosecution. Ideal candidate will be a polished professional, possess an optimistic attitude and have strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage people, resolve conflict, and coach others.
Requires a Law Degree, admission to practice in Wisconsin with 10 years varied experience in the practice of Municipal Law. Experience with tax incremental financing, and development agreement negotiating and drafting strongly preferred. Starting salary $115,000-130,000 with excellent benefits including WI Retirement system and access to Employee Wellness Clinic.
