The City of El Cajon announces the annual State of El Cajon address , to be hosted by Mayor Bill Wells and the El Cajon City Council . This event will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott , located at 141 Magnolia Avenue , El Cajon , CA , on Tuesday , February 6 , 2024 , at 6 p . m .
   The State of El Cajon address is a tradition where the Mayor and City Council come together to celebrate the city’s accomplishments over the past year and serves as a platform to outline the strategic goals and exciting initiatives planned for the coming year .
   In addition to the address , the event will honor exceptional individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the community . These honors include:
   Business of the Year
   : Recognizing a local business that has demonstrated exceptional service and contribution to El Cajon’s economic growth .
   Impact Person of the Year
   : Celebrating an individual whose efforts have made a profound and positive impact on the community .
   Veteran of the Year
   : Honoring a veteran who has continued to serve the community with distinction .
   Youth of the Year
   : Acknowledging a young individual who has shown outstanding leadership , commitment , and service to El Cajon .
