New Rochelle Parks and Recreation will hold their Annual Children’s Fishing Derby event at the Twin Lakes of Huguenot Park ( in front of New Rochelle High School ) on Saturday June 11th 2022 from 9am - 11:30am . The free event is geared towards students in grades K - 8 .
   Participants must bring their own fishing rod , reel and hook . A limited supply of fishing bait will be available on - site , as well as refreshments . Prizes will be awarded for the biggest and smallest .
   The event is sponsored by New Rochelle Lion ' s Club , Dan Carello Realty , John Balacio Truck Garage , Hudson Bait and Tackle , New Rochelle Truck Repair , Bellissimo Provisions , Boar ' s Head , Top Drawer Cabinetry & VFW New Rochelle , Prescon Construction , Fuller Center for Housing .
