Delta County is accepting applications for a Case Aide in Child Welfare in the Department of Human Services. The case aide provides administrative and technical support to the unit. The incumbent will assist caseworkers and administrative staff with families where child abuse or neglect is present or suspected.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree is preferred.
Two years of experience in a professional, fast-paced, high-stress job which is demonstrated on your application and/or resume or two years of experience in the human services field required.
Applicant must demonstrate:
A working knowledge of Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills to make files; track data; etc.; to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines
Facilitate and attend meetings with department and other agencies
Ability to have professional interactions with families, staff and other agencies including the court system, while maintaining healthy boundaries
Work with management to interpret/strategize rules/regulations of the program
Ability to assist the supervisors and caseworkers with tasks (i.e., shopping for children that have been removed from a home)
Ability to work with vulnerable populations
Ability to be exposed to potential crime-related photos/evidence
Salary Range:
$17.30 - $19.04 per hour depending on qualifications

Paid time off is accrued at 14 hours per month with an additional 11 paid holidays in a calendar year.
