TITLE:
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE (FULL TIME)
LOCATION:
Delhi Charter Township

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Director and Facilities Supervisor, performs a variety of tasks related to recreational and township facilities. Assists in the maintenance of township facilities including building repairs, drywall, roofing, plumbing, welding, painting and electrical work. Performs various repairs and maintenance on township equipment and tools. May perform grounds tasks including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, gardening, snow and ice removal. Trains and directs temporary and seasonal work crews in the maintenance of township property and equipment. Operates tractors, power mowers, and a variety of hand and power equipment.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Possession of a High School diploma or the equivalent. Skills training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other trade areas.
Experience:
Three years' experience involving facility repairs. Knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Knowledge of repair and operation of tools and equipment. Basic computer knowledge and skills preferred.
Other Requirements:
Possession of a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Possession of a Michigan Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator's License or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
Twelve (12) months
2022 SALARY RANGE:
(Pay Grade 6) $21.68 - $26.02
APPROXIMATE STARTING DATE:
March 1, 2022
HOURS TO BE WORKED:
40 hours/week - may include Evenings, Weekends and Holidays
