The Brownsburg Police Department is now a permanent fitting station for child restraint seats . Parents and caregivers can schedule an appointment to check their child restraint seats for proper installation .  
   It is recommended that child restraint seats be checked periodically and after any significant impact . The fitting station at the Brownsburg Police Department is staffed by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians who can assist with installation and answer any questions . The certified child passenger safety technician will evaluate how the child travels and check the child ' s current restraint for recalls , proper fit , and proper installation . The parent or caregiver will be instructed on properly using and installing the child restraint .
