The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors commenced their 2024 annual organizational meeting with the election of Supervisor Jim Andrews as Chair and Supervisor Diantha McKeel as Vice - Chair . "I appreciate the Board selecting me to serve as Chair and I look forward to the work ahead , together , " shared Chair Andrews .
   The Chair presides at meetings of the Board of Supervisors and represents the County at official functions and ceremonial events . The Vice - Chair performs the duties of the Chair in his absence (

    ) .
   The Board also adopted its regular meeting schedule for 2024 . Regular meetings are scheduled to begin at 1 pm .
   January 10 and 17 ( second and third Wednesdays )
   February 7 and 21
   March 6 and 20
   April 3 and 17
   May 1 and 15
   June 5 and 12
   July 17 ( third Wednesday only )
   August 7 and 21
   September 4 and 18
   October 2 and 16
   November 6 and 20
   December 4 and 11 ( first and second Wednesdays )
