In honor of the Legacy of Dr . Martin Luther King Jr . , The Berkeley Heights Police Department is proud to announce the launch of a community - wide food drive to support those in need . Embracing the spirit of service and unity , the initiative seeks to collect non - expired , non - perishable food items and shelf - stable milk to assist individuals and families facing food insecurity .
   Residents and businesses in Berkeley Heights are encouraged to participate by donating the above items and dropping them off in the lobby of Police Headquarters ( 29 Park Avenue , Berkeley Heights , NJ ) from January 4 , 2024 , to February 2 , 2024 .  
   The collected donations will be distributed to the Church of the Little Flower Food Pantry to ensure that those facing food insecurity receive the necessary support during these challenging times .
