   Avondale Local EDGE and Career Connectors to Match Job Candidates with Over 25 Actively Hiring Avondale Businesses at Career Expo
   Avondale Local EDGE and Career Connectors will host a Career Expo to support local businesses with their hiring needs .    This in - person event will be held on May 5 , 2022 from 11:00 a . m . to 2:00 p . m . at the new Avondale Visitor and Conference Center in the Civic Center complex ( 11490 W . Civic Center Drive , Avondale AZ 85379 ) . Attendees can register for free at

   Attendees will meet and network with top employers from local businesses across industries currently hiring for hundreds of local roles .  Candidates have an opportunity to explore a wide variety of positions from entry level to executive positions including:

Attendees can speak with hiring managers directly and potentially receive job offers on the spot .    
   In honor of Cinco de Mayo , every participant will be provided with lunch from a local restaurant and food truck , El Taco Santo , as well an opportunity to have a free business portrait taken . There will be mini giveaways and a chance to win Apple AirPods , as well as an opportunity for resume and interview help prior to the event .
   Once registered for the event , job seekers can also take advantage of free interview and resume writing support sessions to be fully prepared to meet with employers at the event . Thirty - minute one - on - one sessions can be booked with professional subject matter experts who are ready to help . Registration is required .
   
   Mock Interviews will be held virtually on April 28 from 1:00 p . m . to 5:00 p . m .
   
   Resume Reviews will be held virtually on April 29 from 8:30 a . m . to 1:30 p . m .

   This is the third in a series of career expos that have been hosted by Avondale Local EDGE .  Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act , the city is supporting industries impacted by the COVID - 19 pandemic ,  such as healthcare , information technology , manufacturing , and logistics by matching qualified job candidates with local open positions . Estrella Mountain Community College and West - MEC will also attend the expos providing educational resources and career pathway information to job seekers supporting career advancement opportunities , another critical goal for the city .
