The Royal Oak Public Library has partnered with the
    Automotive Hall of Fameto bring you their “Achievement” exhibit , a celebration of Black leadership and innovation . The contributions African - Americans made to automotive industry have not been celebrated or even fully captured and shared , and we recognize that these are important stories that need to be told . This exhibition consists of a multi - channel experience about Black contribution to the automotive industry and the industry’s impact on Black families and communities . Achievement recognizes 19 African Americans’ success stories in the Automotive Industry from 1873 to 2022 . The exhibit is on display January 4 - 25 , 2024 .
   On Friday January 12 at 2pm , join the Automotive Hall of Fame at the Library to learn more about the Achievement exhibit , celebrating Black leadership and innovation in the automotive industry , and get a guided tour of the exhibit from the Hall of Fame experts .
