Position: Aquatics Facility Operator/Manager
Salary: 39,083.20 –46,009.60
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Aquatics Facility Operator/Manager.
*This position is responsible for the daily operation of the aquatic facility assigned.
*Position consists of administrative, maintenance and manual duties.
*Duties and responsibilities include scheduling of staff, creating new programming, maintaining proper pool maintenance and repairs, water chemistry and safety and health standards.
* Develops, promotes and supervises a diversified aquatics facility for all ages in
accordance with community needs.
* Insures that the facility is properly staffed and maintained at all times
* Schedules, supervises and assist in evaluation of all staff as prescribed by policy and
procedures.
* Plans and coordinates activities and operational schedules including the use of Facility space
and personnel.
* Responsible for in-service training and updates for instructional personnel.
* Execute proper procedure for the seasonal opening and closing of facility
* Ensure proper operation of filtration, circulation and disinfection systems.
* Perform duties of lifeguard and/or instructor as needed.
* Maintain highest level of proper health and safety standards at all times.
* Repairs and maintains mechanical duties involved with pools and splash pads.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field or any combination of education, training and experience which provide necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for this position. Minimum 2 year in a management/supervisory capacity. An Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification is preferred but not required. Lifeguard Certification is preferred but not required. Experience relative on aquatic facility maintenance and water chemistry. State of Tennessee Driver License is required.
