Deck attendants are responsible for maintaining an inviting, positive, clean and safe environment at the Spring Hill Aquatic Center. Desk attendants must also be able to communicate and enforce rules, regulations, and policies to visitors, performing basic custodial duties, and monitoring the facility. This is a non-exempt position.
Essential duties
Communicating and enforcing pool rules and policies to participants and patrons, including pool rules, deck rules, entrance and exit policies, locker room rules, swim diaper and rubber pants requirements and other rules.
Providing excellent customer service while addressing questions and concerns from staff, patrons and participants in a timely manner.
Cleaning facilities and grounds as needed, including pool deck, bathrooms and concession area.
Identifying and observing general equipment daily for possible maintenance needs and adjustments.
Making routine inspection of facilities to determine functionality and safety, including restrooms, pool deck, and inside and outside the pool perimeter and reports unsatisfactory conditions.
Maintaining pool cleanliness, ensuring clear vacuum and gutters and performing daily cleaning of the facility and grounds.
Requirements
Must be at least 14 years of age. Experience is not required. Must be able to read, write, and count, with knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
***Returning seasonal employees receive a pay incentive equal to an extra $0.25 per year of employment with the City. In addition,
all
employees are eligible for an end-of-season bonus of $0.25/hour worked.***
All who wish to be employed by the Spring Hill Aquatic Center for the 2024 season need to complete an application. Those who were offered a Letter of Intent from the 2023 season will not need to do an interview once the application is complete, however, we will still conduct a background check.
