Assists in organizing and maintaining, according to State Licensing requirements, the daily records to include daily attendance, of the children, daily activities, and accident reports.
Assists in planning and coordinating some lesson plans for children’s activities to include, athletics, games, swimming, art & crafts, reading and creative writing. Provides a safe and fun environment for participants.
Helps maintain records of supplies and notifies the Program Supervisor when it is necessary to replenish the inventory. Maintains equipment used in good working order.
Assists in walking the children safely to sports lessons, swimming lessons, open swim sessions, and on field trips.
Assists the public with information concerning the AfterSchool program policy, and information pertaining to the program. When unable to answer questions, directs patrons to the Program Supervisor and/or Parks and Recreation Department.
Notifies the Recreation supervisor immediately if abuse is suspected.
Helps check facility daily for hazards or damage and reports them to the Department. Assures facility is left clean and orderly prior to leaving for the evening.
Administers proper first aid when needed. Submits accident reports to the Program Supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
