Local Nomination Papers available - January 10 , 2024
   Presidential Primary - Tuesday , March 5 , 2024
   Town Meeting - Wednesday , April 24 , 2024
   Local Town Election - Saturday , April 27 , 2024
   Local nomination papers for all of Hingham ' s elected municipal positions will be available starting on Wednesday , January 10 , 2024 , at 8:30 AM in the Town Clerk ' s Office .
   The following elected positions will be on the April 24th Annual Town Election ballot:
   Town Moderator - 1 Year Term
   Select Board - 3 Year Term
   Board of Assessors - 3 Year Term
   Town Clerk - 3 Year Term
   Board of Health - 3 Year Term
   Municipal Light Board - 3 Year Term
   Housing Authority - 3 Year Term
   School Committee - 3 Year Term
   Planning Board - 5 Year Term
   Sewer Commission - 3 Year Term
   Recreation Commission - 5 Year Term
   To become a candidate for local office , one must be 18 years of age , and be a registered voter in the Town of Hingham .  Each candidate shall file with the Town Clerk , prior to obtaining blank nomination papers , a statement containing the individual’s name , address and the Town Office for which the individual intends to be a candidate . Candidates must obtain the signatures of at least fifty ( 50 ) registered voters in the Town of Hingham . It is recommended candidates obtain 75 signatures .  
   Completed nomination papers are due by Friday , March 8 , 2024 at 5:00 PM .
