The Department:
The Caroline County Department of Public Works maintains the County’s infrastructure including roads, bridges, drainage, public buildings, fleet, and heavy equipment. The Department is divided into two major divisions: Roads and Special Services. The Roads Division maintains over 300 miles of paved and tar-and-chip roads and about 78 miles of unpaved roads. This includes maintaining bridges, culverts, roadway shoulders and signs. The Special Services Division takes care of nearly 250,000 square feet of County buildings. The County’s fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment represents about $10 million of equipment.
About the Position:
Part time seasonal position approximately 20 hours per week; to conduct nighttime spraying for controlling mosquitoes. Applicant must be able to record and maintain accurate and detailed spray records. Spray operation is conducted between 9 pm to 7 am Monday through Friday; during the months of May to November.
Education and License/Training Requirements
:
Successful candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class C License meeting the County’s requirements.
Upon an employment offer, applicants must submit to a substance abuse test and complete criminal background check. EOE
Annual Salary:
$14.00 / Hourly
