At approximately 12:40 p . m . Friday , April 29 , 2022 , the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of 6
   th
    Street NW for a residential fire . When crews arrived on the scene , they found a single - family , two - story home with smoke and flames coming out of the second story . Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly with an offensive attack .
   No one was home at the time and no emergency personnel was injured . The second floor suffered heavy fire damage , and the rest of the residence received smoke and fire damage . The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation .
   The West Fargo Fire Department would like to thank the West Fargo Police Department , Fargo Fire Department , Salvation Army and Sanford Ambulance for their response and assistance on scene .
