An Officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in reference to an Aggravated Assault . Upon arrival , it was discovered that a known suspect intentionally and knowingly threw an unknown substance at the victim’s faces causing severe pain and discomfort .

An officer was dispatched to the 5500 block of Community Drive in regard to a Criminal Mischief incident that already occurred . Upon arrival , it was discovered that an unknown suspect caused damage to the victim’s vehicle without consent .

Virtual Gate
Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Bellaire in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle . An officer located the vehicle at the intersection of Bellaire and West Point . A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle began to evade police . After a brief pursuit the vehicle entered a parking garage , where the suspect left behind the vehicle and fled on foot . The vehicle was recovered and the suspect was not located but identified . Ongoing investigation is being conducted .

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 5900 block of Weslayan . During the traffic stop , it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia .

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 6600 block of Weslayan . During the traffic stop , the odor of marijuana was emanating from the driver side window causing for a probable search to be conducted . While searching the vehicle an AK style gun was observed to be in plain view on the passenger seat . The driver ( Bruce Calvin Francis ) was detained , and charges were accepted for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon .

An officer was dispatched to the 6600 block of Sewanee for an identity theft incident that had already occurred . Upon arrival , it was discovered that an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open a financial account without their consent .

An officer was flagged down in the 6500 block of Mercer by a victim of a theft incident that had already occurred . The victim stated that a known person had taken an item from them without consent .

Warrant Arrest
An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Sunset . During the traffic stop , it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia and had outstanding warrants with the city of Houston . The driver was placed in custody without incident and later released to the Houston Police Department .
