New Voter Registration Cards are being mailed to voters in Precinct 505 ( Colonial Hills Hernando ) and the newly formed Precinct 510 ( Hernando Hills Elementary ) . Voters who receive new cards , should destroy the old ones .
Why the Change?
The DeSoto County Election Commission notified the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors that Longview Point Baptist Church will no longer be available for voting . Also , the Longview Point precinct was the largest in the county with approximately 5 , 400 active voters . It is now being split into two precincts .
