The Village of Elm Grove is seeking a Village Clerk/Deputy Treasurer to join the Village’s management team. Elm Grove is a fully developed, primarily residential community of 3.3 square miles, 6,500 people and an equalized value of just over $1billion dollars. It has a traditional downtown area and is primarily residential.
The purpose of the Village Clerk/Deputy Treasurer is to carry out the duties of Clerk/Deputy Treasurer as defined by Wisconsin State Statutes and the Village Code of Ordinances. This is a department head level position and directly reports to the Village Manager and Board of Trustees.
The ideal candidate will have high quality interpersonal skills, the ability to deal directly with the public in various settings including public meetings and elections as well as have the ability to direct and supervise others all while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude. This position will have multiple challenges across disciplinary lines and the candidate should have the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain timely project completion.
Candidate should have either a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or business or similar combination or a combination of experience and education. Previous Clerk experience of a minimum of two years preferred.
