Voting by Mail for the 2022 General Primary Election begins on May 19 , 2022 in compliance with deadlines required by Illinois law . However , as of
May 18 , 2022
, there are judicial actions pending that could still affect the list of the candidates in the following offices to be voted on in Kendall County:
ILLINOIS GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
JUDGE OF THE SUPREME COURT , 2ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT
JUDGE OF THE APPELLATE COURT , 2ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT
The final decision date involving the candidates for the above elected offices is still uncertain . Once resolved , Kendall County will provide the updated and final candidate list on its website .
IMPORTANT:
You may proceed to vote by mail and cast your ballot upon receipt . If you choose to vote by mail today , you WILL NOT be eligible to vote again should the court order any ballot change ( s ) . If any court - ordered ballot change ( s ) do occur before you vote by mail , you can surrender your Vote by Mail ballot in person to an election judge at an early voting site or at your polling place on Election Day in order to receive a new ballot .
In addition to updates on Kendall County’s website , the Kendall County Clerk’s Office will also announce any new court decision information by press release and on Kendall County’s Facebook page .
