Update to Traffic Fatality – Road Opened
( Fayetteville , NC ) – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit have identified the drivers involved in the vehicle crash that resulted in a traffic fatality that occurred on May 11 , 2022 along Pamalee Drive .
Joan Lawson ( B/F , 61 years of age ) , of the 100 block of Bison Lane in Lillington , NC , was operating a 2018 Dodge Durango on Pamalee Drive .
Treyon Christopher Tedder ( B/M , 25 years of age ) , of the 3500 block of Vandora , Drive was operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle on Pamalee Drive . Tedder succumbed to his injuries on scene and was pronounced deceased by EMS . His next of kin has been notified .
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation .

Traffic Fatality – Road Closure
( Fayetteville , NC ) – On May 11 , 2022 , at 5:40 pm , officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the area of Pamalee Drive near Cain Road in reference to a traffic crash .
The preliminary investigation revealed the crash involved a Sport Utility Vehicle and Motorcycle . The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene . The identity of the driver is pending next of kin notification .
All lanes of Pamalee Drive at Cain Road are currently closed . Motorists are encouraged to utilize an alternate route .
Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit are conducting the investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available .
