Last night at approximately
   9:59 PM
    , Robertson County 911 dispatch received a complaint of shots fired in the area of 15th Ave . West at Bessie Street and dispatched officers with the Springfield Police Department to investigate .  
   A few minutes later , at approximately
   10:05 PM
    , dispatch received a complaint of an individual located in the parking lot at
   2012 Memorial Boulevard
    that had been grazed in the leg by a projectile from a firearm . That person received treatment for minor injuries from Robertson County EMS .
   Officers were then dispatched to TriStar Northcrest Medical Center for an individual with a possible gun shot wound . The male succumbed to the injuries . An autopsy has been requested of the individual by the Medical Examiner’s Office . The release of the identification of the male is pending full notification of family .
   A short time later , a maroon Nissan Altima was located abandoned on 18th Avenue West in the area of J . L . Patterson Boulevard . The scene was processed by investigators and several items of evidence were collected for the investigation . The vehicle was towed from the scene for further investigation in connection to the incident .
   At this time the incident is an ongoing , active investigation by the Springfield Police Department Detective Division and is believed to be directly connected to an isolated event involving some kind of dispute among parties .
