Blacksburg Virginia - Toms Creek Road Shoulder and Sidewalk Closure 20 May 2022 ( news )

Beginning Monday , May 23
the shoulder and sidewalk on
the west side of
Toms Creek Road , between the 460 interchange and Patrick Henry Drive
will be closed . Additionally a lane shift will be in - place for both northbound and southbound traffic . Access will be maintained at all times , however , occasional delays may be experienced but should be limited to 15 minutes or less .
The site contractor working on the
1435 Toms Creek Road
( The View ) development will be working on the first phase of road widening in support of the development . The shoulder and sidewalk closure and lane shift will be in - place continuously ( 24 hours ) for the duration of the work . Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed near the end of June and a subsequent Phase , on the east side of the road , would then commence . A separate notification will be provided when Phase 2 work has been permitted .
