This is an advisory message from the Highland Park Police Department .

    , the Annual Highland Park 5k Race & Street Fair will take place . Raritan Avenue will be closed to traffic from 2
   nd
    through 5
   th
    Avenues from approximately 9 a . m . to 6 p . m . Expect heavy traffic and possible delays due to detours which will direct traffic to alternate routes . Be aware of parking restrictions in effect along Raritan Avenue , Magnolia Street , Denison Street , and several other streets that intersect Raritan Avenue .
   Special attention to north side residents . A 5k race scheduled to begin at 9 a . m . will travel through several streets on the north side . If you are a resident of any of the following streets , it is recommended that you move any parked vehicles from the street and refrain from driving until runners are clear of the course .
