Seasonal Park Attendant - Part-Time
The City of Norcross is seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Park Attendant
(approximately 29 hours per week)
to start immediately. The purpose of this position is to assist with the upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance of the City’s parks, the downtown area and other services of the Parks and Recreation Department. This includes duties such as cleaning/stocking bathrooms, pick up trash, emptying trash cans, general cleanup of the parks, fountains and facilities and monitoring the use of the parks’ amenities. This position has recurring work situations involving moderate degrees of customer service. The need for positivity, courteousness, efficiency, and attention-to-detail is high. The need for accuracy and effective utilization of accepted programs and routines is high.
Requirements:
Performs assigned duties such as day to day park activities, athletics, maintenance, special events and programs.
Assist staff during the various program activities offered by the department.
Monitor parks and facilities during operating hours.
May receive guidance from the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Coordinator and/or Program Coordinator.
Assist staff during special events.
High School diploma or GED.
One to two years of experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Part 382 Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing Policy.
Possession of a valid Georgia driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Possess, or be able to obtain within three months of employment, a Pool/Spa Operator certification.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Must also be able to work on holidays.

$15.00 hourly (minimum) $19.50 hourly (midpoint)
