Class A or B CDL Required.      
   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
   
   Operates refuse collection truck to collect residential refuse and debris along assigned routes and assists Refuse Collectors as needed.  Notifies residents of improper refuse procedures, including but not limited to inappropriate containers or improper placement, and advising of corrective action as needed.  Operates hydraulic controls on packer to compact refuse and debris.  Drives collection truck to and from landfill, including emptying refuse and debris.  Performs mechanical inspection of dump truck and packer on a daily basis.   Assists in maintaining trucks and equipment as assigned, such as washing/cleaning and waxing, changing tires and filters, and lubricating.  Performs related duties as assigned.
