ABOUT THIS POSITION
-The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for a Staff Planning Analyst. This opportunity is one of five positions within our planning department. This position is an important part of the Town’s planning and development services team and is responsible for conducting reviews of various development applications including plats, permits, slope reviews, site plans and rezonings under the supervision of other positions in the planning department. Additionally, this position assists the planning department with other various duties, including the review of special events activity permits, and providing support to Town Boards and Committees. The successful candidate possesses a team-oriented, collaborative and organized working style, with excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships, and responsiveness to the community.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in planning or related field is preferred. Some level of previous experience in a planning department or similar experience preferred.

The hiring range for a Staff Planner is $58,300-$81,700 with salary commensurate to experience. This is anon-exempt position.
