Mayor Susan Shin Angulo , Township Council , and the Cherry Hill Green Team are excited to announce that ahead of the state’s ban on single - use bags on May 4 , Cherry Hill Township will be helping residents prepare by offering free reusable Cherry Hill bags , funded by a NJ Clean Communities grant and based on it Bag Up NJ campaign . They can be picked up at the main entrance of Town Hall , the Department of Public Works , and upcoming Township events on a
   first - come , first - serve
    basis during regular business hours . Town Hall is open from 8:30 a . m . to 5 p . m . and DPW ' s front office is open from 7 a . m . to 4:30 p . m . , Monday to Friday . Please see the list of events below where bags will be distributed ,
   while supplies last
