Recreation Director - $67,800 - $98,200
   ABOUT THIS POSITION
   - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for a Recreation Director. This exciting position is responsible for overseeing, planning, and directing the activities and operation of the Town’s Recreation Department.  The Recreation Department oversees pool activities, as well as traditional and non-traditional recreation programs.  The successful candidate possesses a team-oriented, collaborative and organized working style, with excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships, and responsiveness to the community.
   REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
   - A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.  Supervisory CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a valid Colorado driver’s license, is required.

The hiring range for the Recreation Director is $67,800 - $98,200 with salary commensurate to experience. This is an exempt position.  The Town has some Town-owned apartments that may be available to the successful candidate.

   - The Town, located in the Roaring Fork Valley between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, encompasses an area of approximately 2 square miles with 4,400 residents.
