Program Representative - Finance/Accounting
: This position is responsible for compiling, processing and preparing the county’s weekly Accounts Payable program with speed and accuracy, exercising confidentiality when appropriate. This position performs accounting and administrative work and has financial management responsibilities. This position is responsible for the fiscal accounting of disbursements and the monitoring and recording of cash and budget expenditures. Creates and submits weekly reports relating to the county’s departmental payables and continuously seeks better and modern ways to report digitally. Communicates with all Department Accounting Liaisons regarding the necessary support documentation needed for the payment of submitted invoices. Works directly with accounting software on a daily basis. Trains county accounting liaisons on an individual or group basis. Manages the weekly auditing of all of the departments’ Accounts payable packets to ensure RCW and Washington State Budget and Recording System (BARS) compliance. This position will also be cross-trained in the general Payroll functions for the County, and serve as a back-up staff member for this process.
Qualifications
:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting, bookkeeping, clerical experience, and strong computer skills
OR;
Substituting on a month for month basis any combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.
Salary
:$3,306.00/month.
