This position is responsible for providing administrative support to police personnel. This position provides customer service, collects fees, processes documents and disseminates information to the general public, other agencies, court officials, professional organizations and public safety officials.
   Major Duties:
   Provides customer service to general public and department personnel, to include:         
   Greeting visitors, determining nature of visit and providing general information.
   Provides copies of reports
   Collecting fees and producing receipts
   Performs data entry functions
   Organizes files and maintains arrest, juvenile, incident, traffic, accident and supplemental reports. 
   Copies and distributes reports to appropriate parties and files information. 
   Make entries into NIBRS (National Incident Based Reporting System)
   Files supplemental case information
   Maintains log books and registers
   Maintain and validate GCIC entries and searches
   Prepares monthly reports
   Processes liquor permit applications, to include requesting criminal history
   Runs tags and/or VIN #’s for impounded vehicles through GCIC system
   Enters accident and incident reports into the system and run appropriate reports
   Confirm all GCIC/NCIC HITS within appropriate time frame
   Performs other related duties as assigned
