The Village of Olympia Fields is seeking experienced Police Officers for LATERAL appointment.

Minimum Qualifications
p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'}
State of Illinois certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a law enforcement officer or meet the standards set by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board for Out-Of-State Trained Reciprocity Process. Part-time certification DOES NOT meet this requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
United States Citizen.
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience – At least 2 years’ experience as a Full Time sworn officer, and certified law enforcement officer within 3 years prior to the date of application.
Be able to pass a psychological screening, medical, and drug test.
Be able to pass a thorough personal interview, and extensive personal and work background check.
Applicants who meet these minimum qualifications and are selected for lateral appointment shall complete the entry process before receiving an offer of employment. This process may include the following:
Oral Interviews.
Application verification.
Background Investigation.
Psychological Examination.
Medical examination and drug screening.
After appointment, selected candidates will be required to successfully complete a field training program and probationary period as provided in the collective bargaining agreement for Police Officers.
