Under basic supervision by the Chief of Police or Police Sergeant, this position protects lives and property through the patrolling of assigned areas, impartial enforcement of laws, detaining and interviewing violators, apprehending suspects, and responding to calls for service; assists the community in the mutual pursuit of a peaceful, safe, and healthy environment. Attends, participates, and successfully completes a variety of law enforcement and public safety training.
