On Thursday , November 24 , 2022 , at approximately 6:03 am , officers responded to Grady Hospital regarding a report of a person shot that had been self - transported . Upon arrival , officers located a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound . The victim was alert , conscious , and breathing . Preliminary Investigation indicates the incident occurred at 241 Forsyth St . SW . The victim was engaged in a verbal altercation with a known suspect , leading to the victim being shot . Investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident . The Investigation continues .
