Under supervision, plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff responsible for the maintenance, repair, removal, and replacement of traffic signs, traffic markings, and parking meters.
TASKS:
Supervises and participates in the marking of curbs, crosswalks, medians, turn lanes, street lettering, parking lots, etc. according to drawings, plans and specifications;
Interprets and follows traffic control device plan and recommends minor adjustments for traffic flow and control;
Ensures employees adhere to proper traffic barricading techniques when working in or near traffic to protect the safety of staff and the public;
Maintains various automated and manual logs, records, and files, including daily progress of assigned crew and citizen complaints, and communicates with Manager.
Prepares staffing, time, material, and equipment estimates for division projects;
Provides information and assists in the preparation of division budget and staff reports
