   PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS REMINDS COUNTY RESIDENTS THAT SAME DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE
   LARGO , MD –
   The Prince George’s County Board of Elections is reminding residents that it is not too late to register and vote in the 2022 Maryland Gubernatorial Primary Election .  
   The State of Maryland offers same day voter registration during early voting and on election day . Residents that possess an MVA issued driver’s license or identification card can take advantage of same day registration .  To register same day , residents should bring their MVA issued driver’s license or identification card to any early voting center or their assigned election day polling place . Voters may contact the Prince George’s County Board of Elections or look up their correct polling place by visiting:

   Board of Elections leaders also remind County voters of the following:
   The deadline to apply for a Vote By Mail ballot is Tuesday , July 12 , 2022 .  
   Early voting begins Thursday , July 7 through Thursday July 14 , 2022 .
   Primary Election Day is Tuesday , July 19 , 2022 .  
   The State of Maryland has a closed primary , which means that only registered Democrats and Republicans can vote in the primary election unless there is a nonpartisan race in the voter’s district .
