The Hot Springs Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has identified the vehicle ( Chevy Suburban ) and seven suspects involved in the April 28 , 2022 , incident in which three individuals were hit with “SplatRBall” gel - filled projectiles on Central Avenue ( 800 block ) . A “SplatRBall” gun fires projectiles similar to paintballs and can cause welts and bruising .
   On Monday , May 2 , two of the juvenile suspects ( 17 and 15 years of age ) were arrested after turning themselves in . The two juveniles were processed and released to the care and custody of their guardians with pending court dates in juvenile court . The investigation continues with more arrests expected .
   It is believed the suspects were possibly engaging in some form of social media challenge . Anyone caught engaging in this type of social media stunt/challenge are putting others and themselves in danger of harm’s way , and will be charged accordingly .
