   WHEREAS ,  
   October 2022 is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month; and
   WHEREAS ,
   The Breast Cancer Alliance flag will be raised over Greenwich Town Hall from October 3rd until the 31st to celebrate breast cancer survivors and remember those who lost their lives to this disease; and
   WHEREAS
    ,
   Breast Cancer Alliance’s mission is dedicated to funding innovative , early - stage
   research , breast surgery fellowships and education and outreach support for the underserved .
   NOW , THEREFORE , l , Fred Camillo , FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH , do
   hereby proclaim October 2022 asNational Breast Cancer Awareness Month
   in the Town of Greenwich
   and recognizes the Breast Cancer Alliance for its work in bringing education and healthcare access to underserved women in Greenwich and its neighboring communities .
