The Office of Emergency Services believes that preparedness and access to critical resources in the event of an emergency can save lives . To prepare for the rapidly approaching fire season , OES has developed the
   Emergency Resources
    webpage to provide citizens of Amador County with critical information about critical incidents , evacuation warnings and the opportunity to subscribe to receive real time alerts in the event of an emergency . This optimized user experience allows you to easily access emergency information and resources at the touch of a button .  
   The CodeRED Emergency Alert System
    will deliver telephone calls , text messages and emails regarding evacuations , police activity , missing children , boil water notices or other information . Sign up today and be prepared to react quickly to any emergency situation effecting Amador County residents .
   CAL Fire Reports
    will provide status reports on active wildfire activity and efforts to contain such disasters . Major emergency incidents could include large , extended - day wildfires ( 10 acres or greater ) , floods , earthquakes , hazardous material spills , etc .
   The Amador County Incident Map
    provides an interactive map displaying the various zones of Amador County and will update in real time any ongoing wildfire activity in the area . This map will display evacuation zones and warnings to neighboring zones that may be effected .  
   During an emergency , you will be able to access live feeds to view air support efforts and wildfire behavior and containment .
   Other information provided will include road closures , power shut offs and traffic information . As well as resources for evacuating to shelters and accessing services to assist in animal evacuation shelter and care .
