FARRAGUT , TN – Due to growth in the number of childcare businesses that use the McFee Park splashpad during the summer , the Board of Mayor and Aldermen passed a policy limiting use of the splashpad as a field trip destination .
   Beginning in April , childcare businesses must make a pavilion reservation in advance of their visit by calling the Parks & Recreation Department , and reservations can be made only on Mondays and Wednesdays . Groups can arrive at 9 a . m . for playground use; the splashpad opens at 10 a . m . Reservations end at 2 p . m .
   Pavilion rental rates are $95 for the large pavilion and $85 for the small pavilion . If a pavilion is not available , the childcare business cannot visit that day , as it would cause the playground and splashpad to be over allowed capacity . Pavilions should be used by the group for games , crafts and picnics since there is very little open space around the playground , splashpad and pavilions .
   Users should note that a pavilion rental does not guarantee that the splashpad will be operating . While Town staff make every effort to keep the splashpad in good condition , occasionally there are mechanical issues that require a closure . The playground will remain open even if the splashpad is closed .
   Restrooms at McFee Park are open to the public and access cannot be blocked . While restrooms may be used by childcare businesses , they should not be used as dressing rooms to change in to or out of swimwear . This should be done at the business , camp , etc . , before and after the field trip to McFee Park .
   Parking of buses , vans and cars for the childcare business must be in the lower parking lot . There is a crosswalk at the entrance of McFee Park that allows user to walk safely from the lower parking lot to the greenway to the splashpad/playground area .
