Delta County is accepting application for the position of Network and System Administrator.  This position performs a wide range of highly technical duties associated with the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Delta County information technology systems, infrastructure and services.
   Education:
   Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related field, vocational technical training in computers and computer networking, advanced industry coursework, technical certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  
   Relevant experience installing, configuring, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting data center infrastructure, wired and wireless network systems, server operating systems, storage, directory services and cloud services.  Ideal candidates will have experience supporting and administering current Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy administration, PowerShell scripting, Google Workspace administration, HP/Aruba networking, firewall and VPN systems, Avaya IP Office or other voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems.  Knowledge of and experience with computer and telephone hardware, peripherals, and applications is essential.
   Network and System Administrator I:
   At least 3 years of relevant experience installing, configuring, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting wired and wireless network systems, data center infrastructure, servers and server operating systems, storage systems, directory services and cloud services, and VOIP telephone systems.
   Network and System Administrator II:
   At least 7 years of experience in an advanced technical role planning, designing, configuring, implementing, maintaining and supporting wired and wireless network systems, data center infrastructure, servers and server operating systems, storage systems, directory services and cloud services, and VOIP telephone systems.
   Licenses/Certifications:
   Current and valid Colorado Driver’s License
   Salary Range (DOQ):  
       
   Network & System Administrator I $60,764 to $71,836 
   Network & System Administrator II $65,438 to $74,256
   General Benefits:
   Delta County offers benefits for this position which include medical, dental, vision, and additional selective optional insurances available to the employee and eligible dependents on a cost share basis between employee and the organization.  Life insurance and employee only medical insurance is available at no cost to the employee. We have a pre-tax flexible spending account. Employees contribute 4% of salary to a 401(a) retirement account fully matched with 4% from the County along with an optional 457 tax advantaged deferred-compensation retirement plan. Paid time off is accrued at 14 hours per month with an additional 11 paid holidays in a calendar year.  We have a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes counseling along with some legal and financial support counseling.
