Memorial Day Ceremonies – Monday , May 30
We remember our fallen heroes with the following local Memorial Day ceremonies conducted by American Legion Vernon Post 1247 on Monday , May 30:
9 a . m . – Vernon Cemetery , 15215 Cemetery Road , Lincolnshire
10 a . m . – Willow Lawn Cemetery , 24090 N . Hwy 45 , Vernon Hills
11 a . m . – Vernon Hills Veterans Memorial Arbortheater , 50 Memorial Drive ( N . Fairway Drive between Lakeview Parkway and Nike Parkway on the north end of the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex )
Volunteer Opportunity
If you would like to assist members of American Legion Vernon Post 1247 with the placement of flags at veterans ' graves , your presence will be welcomed:
Friday , May 27 at 10 a . m . , Vernon Cemetery , Lincolnshire
Saturday , May 28 at 9 a . m . , Willow Lawn Cemetery , Vernon Hills
