   Lisa Maxie - Mullins joins Avondale as Deputy City Attorney
    
   Lisa Maxie - Mullins joined the City of Avondale this week as the new Deputy City Attorney . She brings over 20 years of legal and managerial experience to her role .
    
   Prior to joining Avondale , Lisa Maxie - Mullins served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Goodyear since 2016 .   During her tenure with Goodyear she represented several departments including procurement , public safety , code enforcement , information technology and public works .  
    
   Prior to being an Assistant City Attorney , Lisa was employed by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for 14 years .   While serving as an Assistant Attorney General , Lisa represented multiple Arizona agencies including the Department of Economic Security , the Department of Public Safety , and the Department of Transportation . Lisa also served as the Unit Chief Counsel for the Condemnation Unit in the Transportation Section of the Attorney General’s Office and as a member of the Open Meeting Law Enforcement Team and counsel for the Arizona State Transportation Board .  During her tenure at the AGs Office , Lisa provided advice to various agencies regarding Arizona public record requests and Arizona Open Meeting Law .
    
   Lisa is a native of Louisiana .   She obtained a law degree from Louisiana State University .   After law school , she clerked for the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeals .   She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Arizona .
