LABORER
Water Pollution Control Division
City of Bowling Green
(BGEO Contract Pay Grade 1: Pay Range Effective 4/30/2022: $18.26 – $23.30 per hour)
Base of 40 hours per week/2080 annual hours
Hourly position responsible for assisting in the daily operations/maintenance at the Water Pollution Control Division. Assists with cleaning, maintaining, and repairing equipment, tanks, and debris removal. Assists with basic and routine plant operations as directed. Maintains vehicles and equipment, keeps shop and work areas organized and clean. Returns jobsites to original condition. Operates small equipment such as forklift, lawn mowers, tractors, snow plow, and others. Performs general/seasonal building, facilities, and lawn maintenance and janitorial duties. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work is typically performed both indoors and outdoors in prevailing weather conditions, frequently in confined spaces around sewage or water. Incumbent typically works around moving objects and near mechanical hazards. Environment can be noisy.

High school diploma or equivalent; one to six months of relevant experience; valid Ohio Driver’s License; or any combination of education, training and work experience which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job.
